The handle on this microwave oven broke and a replacement part was not available from the manufacturer. The customer sent a hand sketch of the desired handle, which was then used to create a computer model of the part. Using the computer model, a 3D printer was able to fabricate several completely functional handles which were then sent to the customer. Total turnaround time was under one week.
